How to play
Run the three-lane Sydney office from 4:59:10 to the exit before the clock reaches 5:00:00. On foot you are too slow: each espresso cup makes the next stretch run half as fast again, and the best line takes all four, including two up on the Innovation Deck, reached by the escalator in the right lane. Change lanes with the left and right arrows (or A and D), jump with up (or W) over desks, cables, carts and crates, and duck with down (or S) under hanging banners and under a coworker caught mid-leap. Other visitors are hurrying out too: pass the slower ones in another lane. Members keep working, as the announcement allows. People standing or walking across have to be dodged. On a phone use the on-screen buttons or swipe left, right, up and down. A collision stops you for one full second while the clock keeps going; a strong run can afford about three. The exit door opens only while you stand in the centre lane and hold Space, Enter or Hold to open; it takes three seconds. Escape or P pauses, M mutes, and R restarts from a result screen.
About
The voice is the original closing announcement of a public coworking space. It says the space closes in 15 minutes and that members may keep working. The worker in this game simply wants out. The obstacle course is fiction, not a real incident.
Music is "The Future Closes at Five", a club edit built only from that recording and a voice-free instrumental. No speech was synthesized. Listen to the full club edit (MP3).
